Ada’s Beach Creations: A Story of Shells, Sunshine, and Family

Hi there! I’m Ada—the proud founder, artist, and dreamer behind Ada’s Beach Creations. I’m also a devoted single mom to an amazing adult son who continually inspires me to follow my heart. Living in sunny Florida has been a true blessing; there’s something magical about waking up to the soft whisper of ocean breezes and endless stretches of pristine shoreline. Ever since I moved here, I’ve found my happy place roaming the sands, collecting seashells that catch my eye for their distinctive shapes and colors. Each shell I discover has its own story etched into its surface by rolling tides, and that uniqueness reminds me of life’s endless possibilities.

Although I’m a bit of a beach-lover now, family is my anchor. I grew up with four siblings who taught me the beauty of collaboration and creativity. From a young age, our big (and sometimes chaotic) household bristled with laughter and ideas. We were always making things together—whether it was art projects, homemade gifts, or just silly costumes for make-believe plays. That spirit of creativity is something I’ve carried into adulthood, fueling my passion for designing one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by the ocean’s natural treasures.

Ada’s Beach Creations is my way of sharing that love with you. Each item I craft begins with a hand-selected seashell found along Florida’s sun-kissed shores. Because no two shells are ever the same, you’ll notice every piece I create is wonderfully distinct. I like to think of my work as a celebration of life’s little quirks: the marks, the colors, and the shapes that make something—like a shell, or a person—perfectly individual. Working with natural materials also allows me to keep a close connection with the environment. I’m mindful of preserving the beaches I love so dearly, collecting only the shells that have washed ashore and focusing on sustainability.

As a single mom, my mission is to show my son that it’s possible to build a life around what you love. For me, that love is crafting pieces that capture the beauty of Florida’s coastline and the memories made there.
